Bring back Local Area Committees

Local democracy in Redbridge is under threat! Changes to rules governing full council meetings mean the public can only question decision-makers under certain circumstances and individual councillors can no longer discuss questions raised by members of the public. This comes after Local Area Committees, which allowed local people to decide local matters, were scrapped.

We believe people should be given more (not less) say. We seek a return to Local Area Committees which empower people to make the decisions that affect them most and provide funding to support their priorities. We seek an end to rules limiting our freedom to hold decision-makers to account. Please add your name below to support our campaign.
